Last night a three minute resolution was presented. $45,000 lump sum and $500 per month disapeared from congregation funds. People have been killed for less.

I dont think we should past judgement on people who post here for the first time
by smiddy injust saying , my 2 cents worth .
if they have an agenda it will be revealed in a short time , let them play it out .. however , some genuine first posters can be put off by somebody jumping the gun and attacking them .. please give the first posters time to get to know this site.. smiddy.

One of the things I treasure about this site is it's honesty. Any information or opnions that are based on a false premise or unproven accusations no matter how beneficial to the 'postate cause are questioned, examined and dissected. If they are are not based on truth they don't advance the body of knowledge. That is why the site overall has the ring of truth.
Any new poster that comes on for an emotional rant, a vent of feelings, a dying howl as their long held beliefs start to crumble should be treated with respect. If we don't agree with what they say, they have the right to say it (within the bounds of decency and respect). I say give every one the benefit of the doubt, they are in the right place. Any sincere honest person seeking the way forward will be won over, extracted, in thought if not physically from the quicksand that they are in.
I say, give 'em a chance.

I am died in the wool hetero, thats just the way it is. I have good freinds who are gay but I have never felt the atraction. I used to say "if I had tits I would stay in bed all day and play with them". Now i've got them, man boobs eeyu, well not so much.
The only man that I think that could have turned me was Steve McQueen, what a beautiful man, just the sort of guy I would have liked to be, not just in appearance but the whole rebellious package. However he never made a play for me, now I'll never know.

About Human Birth- (Which I've just seen) First Child today
by HowTheBibleWasCreated ini have seen many witnesses with 4,5,6,7 kids.
no problem with that.
they are mostly loving families but today i experianced the birth of my son.. the emotions of my wife... the pain... the fear... the hope combined with the joy of the birth and seeing my wife reaction when she held the baby was well balanced.. .

Many congratulations, I was present at my children's birth and wouldn't have missed it. I remember thinking that the "miracle of birth" was, how the bloody hell that the contents of that huge overfull abdomen were going to get out of the apropriate aperture. It worked out but not without collateral damage.
It didn't seem believable then and after all these years it still doesn't. If you consider the process of natural selection though, it still must be a pretty efficient way of going about things.

Please bear in mind that the monies touted as being for the building work are nothing of the kind. A little corollary in the letter read out said something to the effect that although the money would be primarily used for building halls an such that it would actually go into a general fund that could be used for whatever the GB think fit.
The tax is totally dishonest and is being misrepresented by smoke and mirrors. It will just disappear into the WT swamp of unfathomable mystery accounting and cash juggling.

i agree with you Wild Thing (You make my heart sing). If you could separate the tragedy it would be priceless. The sad reality is the poor kid in a coma.
I wish them the very best but hope it leaves a few questions to mull over for believers to contemplate.

You know what? I smell a little dissembling here. I think the word locally is that the purchase price was much lower than that actually paid. I think people would have been very upset if they knew the truth so the amount involved was massaged, adjusted slightly to soften the blow.
